Not everything opens in sunlight.
some things bloom at the edge
in the hush,
in the waiting, in the breath before the fire.
We are nearing a turning.
Not just in season but in soul.
Whether you feel it as a whisper or a roar, something ancient in you is shifting. And with it comes the invitation: To pause. To feel. To begin without rushing.
Below is a simple ritual to honour the threshold you're standing on.
it's meant to be soft.
Felt.
A quiet permission to touch the sacred before it announces itself.
A Soft Ritual For the Edge of Becoming
You'll need:
A small bowl of water
A flame
Your breath
One item that feels sacred to you (a card, stone, oil, flower, etc)
Step One: Prepare
Sit somewhere still.
Let your body arrive.
Place the bowl in front of you. Light the flame beside it. Set your sacred object near the flame as an offering, or as a witness.
Take three long breaths. With each one whisper:
I soften. I open. I remember.
Step Two: Anoint
Dip your finger into the water.
gently touch:
Your third eye to clear vision
your heart to awaken tenderness
your womb or root to ground and receive
Speak:
I honour what is stirring.
I welcome what is ready.
I bless what is still unknown.
Step Three: Watch the Flame
Gaze into the candle.
Let your thoughts pass like smoke.
Let the fire speak.
If anything arises (grief, joy, uncertainty) let it come.
You do not need to name it.
Just witness it.
Optional: Close by placing your hands on your body sand saying:
I am the altar. I am the offering.
Why This Matters
Ritual isn't about doing more.
It's about doing less with more presence.
It's about making room, not for perfection, but for remembrance.
This week give yourself that space.
To soften into your own sacred edge.
To trust what is shifting.
To honour that you are not behind
you are exactly where the flame wants you.
If you try this ritual tag me @theserpentandtheseed or share it quietly with someone who needs a soft return.
The vault is still opening but the temple is already here
In you.
